Yup, you read it right. Google and Nintendo has released Pokemons around the world for everyone to catch just by using Google Maps on their iOS and Android device.
The Google Maps team has issued a ‘Pokemon Challenge’ for April Fools’ Day, which lets Google Maps users hone their Pokemon-capturing abilities using Google Maps on their iOS or Android device. In addition, the app also doubles as your Pokedex so you can keep track of your captured Pokemons.

“Dozens of wild Pokémon have taken up residence on streets, amidst forests and atop mountains throughout Google Maps. To find and catch ‘em all, you’ll need to tap into your inner Pokémon Master.” – Google Maps
To take up the Pokemon Challenge, just make sure that you have the latest version of Google Maps and start searching around the world. You can start near your area but the Pokemon Lab in Tokyo is also a good start.
The challenge will end tomorrow so better start now. Gotta catch ‘em all! Right?
