After Sony released the high-end Xperia Z1 Compact at CES last month, followed by the 6-inch T2 Ultra phablets, rumors are now spreading that the Japanese manufacturer is on its way to introducing their first midrange smartphone of the year called the Xperia G.
According to the source, the Xperia G’s display size will span 4.8 inches diagonally. There are currently no mentions regarding its screen resolution, but 1280 x 720 is a good bet for a midrange phone.
Below are the leaked specs (although still incomplete) for the Xperia G:
- 4.8-inch display
- LTE connectivity
- 8-megapixel rear camera
- 8GB built-in memory (with microSD slot)
- 1GB RAM
- no IP rating – meaning it has no protection from harmful external factors (water, dust, etc)
The Sony Xperia G will most likely be unveiled at the nearing MWC 2014 in Barcelona. Our team will be there to break the hottest news to you, so stay tuned!
