Last week, we gave you our first impressions of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone, the Mi 3. This time we have a video hands on of the device including a quick run-through of the MIUI V5.
The MIUI on the Xiaomi Mi 3 is currently on V5 or the fifth version of the ROM. It comes with a lot of built-in customization features including its own theme store, and a slew of security tools like its own memory cleaner, data usage monitor, power manager, blacklisting, virus scanner, and permissions manager.
The MIUI V5 is powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It’s clean-looking, snappy, and very fluid. If you’re using a non-Xiaomi device you can still experience MIUI by downloading the Mi Launcher from the Play Store. However, it’s not as complete as the ROM itself and the language and widgets are mostly in Chinese.
We’re already working on our full review of the Xiaomi Mi 3 so stay tuned.
