MassKara Festival 2013 Schedule

Every month of October all roads lead to Bacolod City as it celebrates the annual MassKara Festival 2013!   Every year, thousands of tourists troop to Bacolod to experience the Festival known for its sweet smiles.

the festival is always held every weekend nearest October 19th, the original Charter Day of Bacolod City.

Last week I was in Iloilo City to cover the Grand Launch of the Digital tourism Project of Smart Communications in cooperation with the local heritage advocates of Iloilo.

Smart Launches Digital Tourism in Iloilo!

I was recently in Iloilo to cover the Digital Tourism launch which was spearheaded by Smart Communications in partnership with the local stakeholders from Iloilo City.

Through the Digital Tourism project, tourists as well as locals will be able to obtain information about the various attractions with the your of mobile phones, or tablets.

Yummy Lunch at Nam Prik Thai Kitchen

I must admit, I am not really that familiar with Thai cuisine. But I am very interested to learn about Thai Food. So when I got an invitation to have lunch at Nam Prik Thai Kitchen in Iloilo, I immediately said yes.

Nam Prik Thai Kitchen is Located in Sambag Jaro Iloilo City. For our lunch we had Khao Phat or the Thai Fried Rice, pork and beef curry, deep fried spring roll, pad thai, pomelo salad, cold pork loin salad or Nam Tok.

An Afternoon Merienda at Balbi’s Snack House Iloilo

I dunno, but I always admire old eateries for snack houses. Small restaurants that have withstood the test of time and the challenge of modern conveniences and aggressive competition.

Most of the time revising these old time snack houses brings back a lot of happy childhood memories.
