MassKara Preview: The Annual Mask and Costume Pre Judging Competition

This is probably one of the much awaited event in 3-week long celebration of the MassKara Festival. The MassKara Preview gives everyone a sneak peek of what to expect during the street dancing competition which is the highlight of the festival.

This year, thirty groups participated in the MassKara Preview, 19 from the Barangays, 7 elementary Schools and four from the secondary education department, all from Bacolod City.

MassKara Captures the Sea Tonight

Not just street dancing but the Bacolod MassKara will send spectacular enhancement to the world when the sea water facing the Guimaras Island will be taken over by an array of lighted fluvial boats in MassKara motifs.

Right after the daily Rosary meditation at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the lighted boats of the 12 participating coastal barangays will dock at the Baywalk area for the first MOR 101.5 Kapamilya MassKara by the Sea: Night Boat Parade and Fantasy Costume Competition.

Very Captivating Capiz!

I have been to Capiz twice. But the last time I was in this part of Western Visayas was in 2009 when Roxas City, known to for its moniker as the Seafood Capital of the Philippines, hosted the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly.

There were some attempts on my part, go return to Roxas, but never pushed through. Then last month, i was scheduled to go to Antique. Funny thing is, Roxas, Capiz was originally not part of the plan, but yeah, it pushed through!
