PRC changes website design after Facebook-like layout fiasco

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) was under fire yesterday as a screenshot of their web portal spread through social media for taking a lot of design cues from Facebook.

As can be seen from the screengrab above, the website for the PRC Licensure Examination & Registration Information System (LERIS) greatly resembles the login page of Facebook in layout and overall design. We first thought it was fake until we visited the site. It looks like a phishing portal for Facebook but, it’s a Philippine Government portal for registered professionals.

The fiasco must have reached the concerned parties as they have changed the website a bit earlier today — a change in color (see below).

Looks like the people in charge of the portal has some explaining to do. Let’s hope they change it soon and have it done professionally.

Google Glass + CD-R King ain’t gonna happen

Remember the photo that was posted by CD-R King’s Facebook page featuring Google Glass? Well, bad news folks.

Sorry to say but the excitement idea of having Google Glass through CD-R King is nothing but fake. The alleged teaser has been removed and disowned by CD-R King’s Facebook page. Here is their statement embedded below:

No details were mentioned whether the posting is intentional or hacked, but at least we now know that the real Google Glass will not land in CD-R King stores.
