Sony outs USB Type-C OTG storage device

Sony has released a USB OTG device featuring the new Type-C standard and up to 64GB internal storage.

According to Sony, the new USB 3.1 Gen1 CA1-series utilizes “dual connectors” which includes the new standard USB Type-C and Type-A, allowing it to support Windows, Macintosh, Android and Chromebook devices.

It also boasts transfer speeds of up to 130 MB/s (read), and available in 16/32/64GB storage variants. Pricing is yet to be announced but will be available in February 2016.

The Starmobile Knight X will be available soon and the company assures that it will be priced below the Php20K mark. Looking back, the company launched the Starmobile Knight last year with a Php11K price tag.
