Google intros ‘relationships’ option in Voice Search

With Google‘s update for Android smartphones, the company has announced that it will be introducing a new feature that lets users voice search a contact by simply saying their relationship to him/her.

For example, one could simply say, “Okay Google, call Dad” or “Okay Google, send a text to my sister,” to skip browsing through the entire phone book.

To use this feature, the user must allow the Google app to have access to the user’s contacts and should also update its information under the “Relationship” category of that specific contact whether it’s your brother, sister, mom, etc.

Now, calling loved ones can be done even when you’re cooking, shopping, or simply feeling lazy to dial them up.

Android 4.3 update for Xperia SP now rolling

Sony Xperia SP users are finally tasting the last Jelly Bean version for their smartphone, Android 4.3.

The update started in Australia with the build number 12.1.A.0.266. It should bring Android 4.3 on board along with new tweaks and UI changes. Probably the same with other Xperia smartphones with Android 4.3.

An updated lock screen and home screen, the new app tray, and a new camera interface should greet users once they received the update. Be reminded that Sony just started to seed the update. It will reach our shores maybe in a month.
