ABS-CBN TVplus get a price cut, now only Php 1,999

The digital black box of the country’s major TV network get a price cut of Php 500. Coming from the original price of Php 2,500, viewers can now have it for only Php 1,999.

ABS-CBN TVplus or also known as “Ang Mahiwagang Black Box” is an ISDB-T receiver for your TV. This allows digital TV viewing on any television set given that an interface, such as AV input, is available. The box features clear reception of ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Sports + Action, plus exclusive free-to-air channels like Yey! and CineMo! along with DZMM TeleRadyo and Knowledge Channel.

  • Rizal
  • Cavite
  • Laguna
  • Bulacan
  • Pampanga
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Tarlac
  • Pangasinan

ABS-CBN TVplus can also receive signals from other networks like GMA-7, TV5 and others as long as they have digital broadcast on your location.

Shar hasp introduced the world’s first 8K TV with a screen size of 85 inches and a hefty price tag.

Sharp’s LV-85001 boasts and LCD panel with 8K resolution (7,680 x 4,320), 100,000: 1, and a 176-degree wide-viewing angle. The large TV can also be installed either in vertical or horizontal position.

Samsung’s 34-inch Curved Monitor lands for Php57k

We first saw this curved monitor during the Samsung SEA Forum back in February. We asked the local Samsung reps what would be the landed price when it reaches the Philippines and they promised to work on it so the price will be under Php50k despite the $1,299 MSRP.

We’ll it looks like these monster curved monitors have arrived and selling for Php56,900. Not quite there but at least it is still significantly lower than the Php73k 34-inch Dell Curved Monitor we saw a couple weeks back.

This monitor has a 21:9 aspect ratio, 3440×1440 pixel resolution (ultra WQHD), 4ms response time and a maximum brightness of 300cd/m2, 3000:1 contrast ratio. Connectivity options include USB 3.0 hub, 3 USB 2.0 supercharging ports and 2 HDMI ports. It also supports PIP 2.0 or Picture-by-Picture for split screen for multi-source viewing (splits the screen by half based on two separate input channels).
