Honda Automobiles Now EURO 4 Certified

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) proudly announces that its automobiles are now EURO 4 certified. Initially having obtained the certification for its locally-manufactured City; HCPI has also secured EURO 4 certification for the following vehicle models: Brio, Brio Amaze, Mobilio, CR-V, Civic, Jazz, HR-V, Accord, Odyssey, and CR-Z. As early as June 2015, HCPI has actively sought, and obtained EURO 4 emission standard certification from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for its vehicle line up.

To significantly reduce the amount of pollutants released to the environment and to ensure the quality of breathable air; vehicles released to the market must be EURO 4 emission standard compliant by January 2016. This is in accordance with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2015-04.

As early as 2004, HCPI started introducing EURO 4-ready products in the Philippine market. By the end of 2006, all HCPI automobiles sold in the Philippines were already at EURO 4 emission level.

It has always been one of HCPI’s thrusts to leave blue skies for children, which is why Honda produces products that are safer for the environment and for its users. “We would like to assure our customers that Honda takes proactive actions to help contribute in reducing the destruction of our ozone layer and the effect of global warming,” says HCPI President and General Manager Toshio Kuwahara. This is the first vehicle in Honda’s line-up to be locally certified with EURO 4 level emission standards. The certification is pursuant to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2015-04 which mandates that all new passenger and light vehicles, and heavy duty motor vehicles made available in the market should comply with EURO 4 emission standards by January 2016 from the present EURO 2 emission standards.

HCPI first introduced EURO 4 level ready products in 2004 and by the end of 2006, all Honda models sold in the Philippines were already at EURO 4 emission level.
