The Dairy Farm Group, a pioneer in Asian retail, opened a new office in Robinson Land’s Cyberscape Beta tower in Ortigas Center, Pasig. The new office is home to The Dairy Farm Company, Limited – ROHQ and will serve as a shared service delivery centre for the Group.
“Our decisions to launch the ROHQ and open a modern service delivery facility in the Philippines are a testament to the knowledge, experience and expertise of the Filipino workforce. The talent level is world class and the maturity has deepened significantly with the experience gained during the rapid expansion of the BPO/IT sector over the course of the past fifteen plus years,” said Mark Clifton, Group IT Shared Services Director and head of operations for the service delivery centre. “The investment was a strategic decision that is aligned to our retail expansion in the Philippines and our need to grow and modernize shared service delivery across the Group,” he added.
The shared service delivery centre primarily provides IT services and support to the member companies and affiliates of the Group. Developing from a talented core group of staff the operation strives to become a competency and expertise centre for IT service delivery to the larger enterprise.
This is the latest in a series of Philippines investments Dairy Farm has made in recent years. In the Philippines the Group currently operates Rustan’s Supermarkets, Shopwise hypermarkets and Wellcome in a joint venture with the Tantoco family and the Group recently acquired a 49% interest in Cebu based Rose Pharmacy.
“Our continued investments in the Philippines illustrate our pioneering spirit and our desire to bring the benefits of modern retail to consumers in markets across Asia. In the Philippines we are fortunate to have great people and great partners. We have high expectations for the IT service delivery centre and we have great confidence in the skills and know-how of the Philippine employee base,” said Graham Allan, Group Chief Executive.
