Samsung Galaxy S4 now available on Globe Postpaid

Globe Telecom has officially launched this afternoon the Samsung Galaxy S4 under their customizable My Super plan postpaid plans with unlimited LTE.

One of Globe’s offering is the My Super Plan 999 with a 24-month contract period and a cashout of Php14,400. If the cashout is too costly, subscribers can opt for the Php1,599 monthly payout which is Plan 999 + Php600 monthly over 24 months. This includes unlimited LTE (subject to FUP) with a Php101 worth of customizable monthly consumable.

Lower plans with affordable monthly cashouts payable via credit card over 24 months at 0% interest are also available. In addition, subscribers of higher plans with a 24-month contract period can also get the Galaxy S4 bundled with a free Samsung device.

*Plan 3799 – SGS4 + FREE Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (also available in 30 mos. contract)
*Plan 5000 – SGS4 + FREE Galaxy Camera
*Plan 10000 – SGS4 + FREE Galaxy Note 2

All postpaid offerings come with a No Billshock policy, 7-day phone replacement, and 24/7 access to customer service channels.

Pre-orders for SGS4 from Smart to start tomorrow

Smart Communications Philippines announced that they’ll start taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 beginning tomorrow, April 27. The flagship handset will typically be offered under Smart’s UnliData Plan 2000 with a 30-month lock-in period, but early adopters can get it for less.

Subscribers who will apply and be approved from tomorrow until May 2 can choose to get a free SGS4 under UnliData Plan 1500 for the same duration (30-months). That’s Php500 off of your regular monthly payment. Of course, there’s a slight difference between the two plans in terms of the consumable services (Call and SMS limits).

Along with this announcement, Smart also shared their latest development in their effort to expand LTE coverage. According to Kathy Carag, Head of Smart Postpaid Business, the company currently has 1000 LTE-enabled sites which spread across 115 cities. The new additions to the list of areas with LTE coverage are as follows:

Tagaytay City:
• Robinsons Summit Ridge
• Tagaytay Midlands

Cavite:
• La Salle Dasmarinas

Bohol:
• Tagbilaran Domestic Airport

Ilocos Norte:
• Laoag International Airport

Bacolod City:
• Robinson’s Place

Davao del Sur:
• SM Lanang Premier

Globe releases Galaxy S4 postpaid plans

Globe has already published on their website their postpaid plans for the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Globe is offering the Galaxy S4 starting at Plan 299 all the way to the All Unli Plan with contract periods ranging from 6 months to 30 months. If you want to get the S4 for free you may start at Plan 1799 with a lock-in period of 30 months. Take a look at the other plan options in the chart below:

We also checked Smart’s Galaxy S4 preorder page to find out if they have also posted their postpaid offerings, so far there’s no update yet.

Smart Prepaid LTE goes live

Smart prepaid subscribers can now experience blazing fast internet connection as the MVP-owned Telco launched the Smart Prepaid LTE.

The service will be offered in three denominations which is basically identical to Smart’s postpaid offering. Below are the packages along with its corresponding subscription text codes:

To take adavantage of this service, users need to purchase an LTE-provisioned SIM card which costs Php350. The SIM comes with free 7-days unlimited LTE that you need to register upon activation.

It comes in dual-cut (regular and micro-SIM) and nano-SIM variant and can be bundled with either a Huawei LTE dongle (additional Php5,995) or an LTE pocket WiFi (additional Php6,995).

Globe readies Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-order page

With the local launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 just a week away, Globe Telecom has already updated its webpage to accommodate those who are interested to get Samsung’s latest flagship under the said telco.

Currently, the webpage informs visitors that the Galaxy S4 is “almost here” with a link to a subscription page should anyone wishes to be informed immediately about the flagship’s arrival. This page will be soon updated to take pre-orders then eventually as Globe’s official homepage for the Galaxy S4.
