Suzuki Philippines rolls out upgraded Swift 1.2 and Swift Dzire

Subcompact car lovers who have been greatly impressed with the Suzuki Swift 1.2 and Swift Dzire can brace themselves for the arrival of the new amped up editions of these two well-loved models. Amid great demand for the current versions, Suzuki Philippines announces the launch of the latest iterations of the Swift 1.2 and Swift Dzire which both feature snazzier looks and more advanced innovations while retaining the great value and fuel efficiency Suzuki automobiles are known for.

Once stylish and luxurious, Swift 1.2 2015 is distinctly bolder, more premium than its predecessor. Externally, the 1.2-liter Swift gets a new front grille and fog lamp bezel complete with chrome accent. The front bumper design shows a new scheme with sharper edges for a fiercer bearing. Moreover, the alloy wheels have been enhanced with wider spokes.

For the interior, fabric seats showcase diagonal pattern and part of the rear seatback folds down for added cargo space when needed. Additionally, the improved Swift 1.2 flashes a new touchscreen multimedia and navigation-ready audio unit that will give ease to any Swift 1.2 owner.

The new Suzuki Swift 1.2 is now available in Suzuki outlets nationwide. Prices start at Php 628,000 for manual transmission and Php 668,000 for automatic transmission models, available locally in Solid Fire Red, Mettalic Silky Silver, Prime Arctic White, Pearl Midnight Black, and Metallic Glistening Gray.

A different allure is offered by the Swift Dzire released this year. Drivers who are already attuned to the current model will happily find more of the same power and efficiency they’ve always loved in the new version. The all-new Swift Dzire comes in GL and GA variants, and in color options Prime Alp Blue, Prime Arctic White, Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Magma Gray, and Pearl Sangria Red. Fresh fabric designs on the car seats vary in patterns depending on whether the Dzire car buyer gets the GL or the GA variant.

A new chrome accent front grille greets the owners of the upgraded Swift Dzire GL which shows off a sporty bumper design with chrome accent fog lamp bezel. It also displays new black-out headlamps and 14” alloy wheels for a more stylish look. The interior is enveloped in elegant black with silver accents. It is now equipped with a TFT touch screen audio head unit with USB and Bluetooth connectivity and optional navigation system.

The all-new Swift Dzire manual transmission unit retails for Php 568,000 while the A/T variant with GPS retails for Php 718,000.

Suzuki cars shows impressive 162% sales rise for Q1

Suzuki, a world leader in subcompact cars, is finding more fans in the Philippine market by selling 162% more cars in the first three months of 2015 compared to the same period last year.

The company’s impressive year-to-year growth is reflective of the robust automotive market which collectively grew by 122% for the first quarter of 2015 according to The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI). Suzuki Philippines’ sales numbers show the Filipinos growing love affair with the company’s cute, durable, and fuel-efficient cars.

The three marquee models that are driving the impressive growth are the Suzuki Ertiga, Suzuki Swift 1.2, and Suzuki Alto 800.

The Suzuki Ertiga, a seven-seater compact MPV, leads the charts which is an impressive performance for a recently launched model. With three variants available in the Philippines, the Ertiga is the perfect car for the family and is also the car of choice for those who need vehicles that serve multiple purposes, from ferrying a larger group of people in comfort to transporting large loads. The Ertiga’s folding rear seats can easily accommodate large objects that are impossible to fit into a sedan. Suzuki Philippines, Inc. (SPH), the only integrated motorcycle and automobile company in the country, releases the official pricing for the two latest compact car models – the Suzuki Ertiga and the Suzuki Swift 1.2.

The Ertiga, which Suzuki dubs as a Life Utility Vehicle or LUV, is a 7-seater automobile that combines the compactness and maneuverability of a hatchback, the style and comfort of a sedan, and the space and stature of a sports-utility vehicle (SUV). Ideal for families and business executives, the versatile Ertiga features a 1.4L engine displacement, maximum power of 95Hp @ 6,000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 130Nm @ 4,000 rpm. Ertiga will be available locally in 4 different variants: the Ertiga GA M/T which is priced at 619,000 the Ertiga GL M/T at 712,000, the Ertiga GL A/T at 752,000 and the Ertiga GLX A/T at 812,000.

Suzuki Swift 1.2: Living up to its name in a more affordable package

The Swift 1.2, on the other hand, is a new Swift variant that promises even better fuel efficiency while retaining most of what people loved about the Suzuki Swift. Designed to appeal to the wider audience, particularly the young professionals and first time car owners who love the sporty style of this subcompact car, the Swift 1.2 boasts a maximum output of 87 Hp @ 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm @ 4,000 rpm given its 1.2 L engine displacement. Swift 1.2 will be available in manual and automatic transmissions and will be priced at 608,000 and 648,000, respectively.

Both automobile models will be available in all Suzuki dealerships nationwide by July this year. Colors for the Suzuki Ertiga are Serene Blue, Firebrick Red, Granite Grey, Dusky Brown, Superior White, and Silky Silver while the Swift 1.2 will be available in Blazing Red, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, Pearl Arctic White, and Midnight Black.
