Going the Distance

In celebration of its 50th year in the Philippines, MILO has renewed its commitment to building a strong nation of champions while reinforcing the value of leading a well-balanced lifestyle with its delicious 3-in-1 mix variant for adults –MILO R2.

In 2012, the leading beverage brand expanded to a new demographic with a distinct blend of MILO, milk, and sugar formulated for working adults. Each glass brims with the chocomaltee taste of MILO; PROTOMALT, a unique combination of carbohydrates; and ACTIGEN-E, a wholesome mix of B vitamins and micronutrients. MILO R2 is a healthy chocolate drink that provides sustained energy adults need for the daily grind.

“Rooted in Nestle’s global thrust to champion nutrition, health, and wellness, MILO R2 is geared to lead the Filipino workforce to a balanced lifestyle. This year, MILO R2 remains true to its mission of creating a more active community of young professionals in the country, not only with the rich beverage they know and love but also by inspiring them to engage in physical fitness,” said MILO R2 Consumer Marketing Executive Ed Capacio.

To further promote wellness among young Filipino adults, the MILO R2-APEX (Athletic Performance Enhancement) Running School (MARS) led by renowned fitness expert Coach Jim Saret, is set to return for its eighth and ninth seasons in 2014.

Designed to shape champions, MARS offers elite training workouts and sports medicine-based running principles for beginners, amateurs, and professional athletes. The expansive program now provides various physical assessment sessions, injury prevention modules, and routine trail runs to develop the each runner’s strength, endurance, and skill level for the world of athletics. The biggest running clinic in the country has produced over 1,000 marathoners who have achieved peak form and high vitality for the challenges at work and in life.

“Acing the job interview or getting the well-deserved promotion may only be the first step in progressing a career. Without healthy habits thereafter, working adults may feel increasingly tired and eventually lose the will to pursue their goals. We at MILO encourage avid workers to answer the call to wellness and begin a well-rounded approach to life with MILO R2,” added Capacio.

MILO R2 will drive the winning energy for a balanced lifestyle to more young professionals with a special promo that grants one (1) free 24-g pack of MILO R2 for every five (5) 24-g packs they purchase in selected supermarkets nationwide. MILO also hopes to encourage the Filipino work force to refuel and reenergize by bringing 380,000 cups of MILO R2 in select Supermarkets and BPO offices in the country.

Understandable for Pacquaio to seek divine intervention with his tax problems.

Understandable for Pacquaio to seek divine intervention with his tax problems.
