Xiaomi unveiled its new wearable device and they wrapped the package with a heart-rate sensor.
The Mi Band 1S is the successor to Xiaomi’s Mi Band and it now features an optical hear-rate sensor. The new wearable from the Chinese brand can count the calories you’ve burned during workout, measure your number of steps, and track your heart rate. It can also determine your quality of sleep.
It uses vibration and LED notification lights to show its activity and shows information through a smartphone app, either Android or iOS. With a dimension of 37 x 13.6 x 9.9mm, it’s slightly thicker that it’s predecessor but retains the same 45mAh battery.
The Mi Band has an IP67 rating for protection from dust and underwater up to 3 feet for 30 minutes. It will be on sale for CNY 99 or roughly PHP 735 in China beginning November 11.
