As the flag carrier of The Lion City, Singapore Airlines commemorated Singapore’s 50th National Day last August 9, 2015 with special treats for its passengers flying from Manila.
Showcasing the World Gourmet Cuisine that Singapore Airlines is known for, food is definitely one of the things one can look forward to at the SilverKris Lounge Manila, Singapore Airlines’ new ‘home away from home’ located at NAIA Terminal 3. On August 9, SilverKris Lounge Manila put the spotlight on Singapore’s gastronomic fare as it featured the signature Singapore Chicken Rice, and the Almond Beancurd, a favorite Singaporean dessert.
On the same day, a draw was organized for all Manila-Singapore flights and lucky passengers were presented with commemorative SG50 gift bags and giveaways. The Singapore flag was on display at the check-in counters with the Singapore Airlines staff dressed in the Singapore flag colors of red and white. The ticketing office in Makati is decorated as well with #SG50 theme.
