Usually, tech companies love to boast about how thin the bezels are on their new smartphone. But all of them should think twice before saying that again now that Sharp unveiled the new Aquos Crystal and Aquos Crystal X, because when it comes down to thin bezels, not a handset currently in the market comes close to these new smartphones.
Apart from the chin that houses some the phones’ front-facing components like the camera, microphone and sensors, the front panel of the Aquos Crystal and Crystal X is literally ALL SCREEN.
The former (and the meeker of the two) is equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen display with a 1280×720 resolution. Meanwhile, the Aquos Crystal X boasts a bigger screen which measure 5.5-inch and comes in with a full-HD resolution.
The list differences between the two siblings continue as we check out the inner workings. The Crystal X runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor which is clocked at 2.3GHz and is backed by 2GB of RAM.

On the other hand, the Aquos Crystal X has a more modest configuration, sporting a 1.2GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm with 1.5GB RAM and is powered by 2,040mAh battery. It also has a quarter of the built-in storage of its beefier sibling has but can be expanded up to 128GB should you wish to do so.

Sharp has yet to drop the official SRP of both the Aquos Crystal and Crystal X, but according to Softbank Mobile’s press release (in Japanese) that the former will be launched in Japan on August 29.
