Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on sale Nov.8

Samsung’s GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) will be available globally starting tomorrow, Nov. 8. It is a WiFi Only device, available in 16 GB + Micro SD up to 64 GB. There are two color options to choose from – Jet Black and Classic White. Price is around P25,000.

We were able to have a preview of this tablet during a dinner at M Cafe recently where Rafael Gutierrez and Ivan Pua of Samsung Philippines’ Mobility & Convergence Products unit revealed that Galaxy Note 10.1 is one of their first products to be equipped with the Knox mobile security solution.This addresses the need of business users for security on Android devices. With the Knox platform, business and personal data will coexist on the same device; the user will simply press an icon to switch from Personal to Work (and vice versa) instantly.

Those familiar with the Note 3 will find that the Note 10. 1 is also equipped with the same high-tech features. The most notable function is performed by the Samsung stylus called S Pen from where you can launch Action Memo, even organize a scrapbook or draw charts by hand which can easily be transformed into more formal charts and graphs.

With Multi Window, users will be able to open several tabs of the same application, and use the S Pen to drag and drop content from one window to another.

A few nights ago, I attended the Manila launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 + Galaxy Gear which I’ve already written about in this post. The affair at SM Aura wasn’t really that star-studded but it WAS, in a way, because of two hot guys playing gays in local TV’s most talked-about show, “My Husband’s Lover.”

Presenting “Vincent”, “Eric” plus “Lally” 20 years later. hehehe.

In my personal opinion, Tom Rodriguez had star factor. I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy will go places. And to think he just recovered from dengue fever in this pic.

Imaginary conversation -

Vincent: Look beh, we should be able to communicate easily with this Note 3. Just scroll around with the S Pen and it will take you from one app & icon to another. Just don’t get jealous if I keep photos of Lally and the kids. After all, they’re still a part of me.

Eric: ummm…. yeah…amazing!

Confession: I’ve been trying to keep fit and eat smart lately. It’s the best way to make up for the food invites and restaurant tastings I get on a regular basis; I’d surely expand into balloon proportions if control and moderation are not in my vocabulary. Don’t get me wrong: my diet is still NO DIET I just try to have lesser servings of the food I so love, not eating when am full, complemented by having brown rice (when I can) and getting regular exercise. Simple no?

Reviewing the entries for this blog’s Samsung Galaxy Mega giveaway, the Instagram photos of one young lady caught my attention. I can see her desire to eat healthy and keep an active lifestyle. I related to her weight loss journey, having been there on that frustrating battle myself after giving birth in 2010. Getting on the thin & lean track isn’t easy, but with hard work & motivation…. it’s possible!

Last night, we had the chance to attend the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini which will be retailed at only P14,990 starting February. Methinks this is ideal for smartphone users who have always dreamt of owning the Galaxy S3 but were put off by the steep price. As its name implies, the S iii mini is smaller, cheaper but performs the same fully-loaded functions.
