Samsung has just announced one of their next flagship smartphones for 2015 – the Samsung Galaxy S6.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is just one of the two smartphones that the company released today, the other being the Galaxy S6 Edge. The Galaxy S6 packs a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, and also packs the latest 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 CPU from the company. It’s also claiming to have a much better 16 megapixel camera paired with a 5 megapixel selfie camera. It also packs a 2,550 mAh battery that is capable of charging wirelessly.
Aside from the most obvious advances in hardware, Samsung has taken a new direction for some elements, mainly the Galaxy S6’s construction. The company has finally abandoned plastic in the phone’s construction and has finally incorporated better feeling materials such as metal and glass. However, this means that we will no longer see a removable back cover. Samsung has also ditched the micro SD card slot and water-resistance to make way for this new design philosophy.
