Galaxy Note 4 specs leak for two variants with 3GB RAM

Leaked specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 have emerged from an AnTuTu benchmark and it shows two variants with differing processing power on top of other key specs. They are most likely to make their appearance at the company’s IFA event on September as some of the most anticipated phablets for this year.

The information seen on the database of AnTuTu benchmark shows that there will be two variants set to run the show for the awaited Galaxy Note 4. The first variant, the SM-N910C, should carry a 1.3GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 4533 processor that comprises of four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores. It will then be partnered with an ARM Mali-T760 GPU and an ample 3GB of RAM. The other one, the SM-N910S, is said to have a 2.5GHz Qualcomm-branded Snapdragon 805 CPU with Adreno 420 GPU and the same 3GB RAM.

We’ve recently reported on the Galaxy Note 4′s rumored specs, but the data above confirms some of these allegations. The device should also have 2K display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 16MP rear camera that shoots 4K videos, and 32GB of storage space.

IBTimes also reported of the possibility for the Note 4 to have the first 64-bit architecture that aims to challenge the A7 processor of the iPhone 5S. In addition, it may come with a flexible display but no further details have surfaced as of yet.

Stay tuned as we get more updates on the arrival of the Galaxy Note 4!

Lee confirmed to Bloomberg during a recent interview that company’s next flagship smartphone will be released “around March and April” along with the new Gear smartwatch. “When we release our S5 device, you can also expect a Gear successor with more advanced functions, and the bulky design will also be improved.”

Eye-scanner and new design

Not to be eclipsed with Apple’s fingerprint sensor technology on the iPhone 5S, Samsung is already “studying the possibility” of including an iris recognition technology aka, an eye-scanner, on the upcoming flagship. As for the design of the S5, Lee said that they will go back to the basics and will be mostly about the “display and the feel of the cover.”

Lee also hinted on the possible new feature of the Galaxy Note 3 successor, mentioning that the Note 4 may utilize a three-sided display so messages can be viewed from a different angle. According to Lee, it will be targeted at “consumers who want more professional use and tend to be willing to pay more for handsets.”

The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be released in the second half of 2014.
