Being first at anything certainly has its perks, and who better to tell us this than Sony who according to analyst said sold more than 4-million of their current flagship device in less than two months.
This success is attributed to the fact that the Xperia Z lacked a strong competition in the 5-inch, 1080p category. Even though HTC beat Sony to the punch when the Taiwanese firm released the HTC Butterfly, it didn’t gain too much traction on the market.
Furthermore, the handset is just simply awesome both inside and out. The deadly combo of gorgeous IP57-certified glass body and quad-core processor with 2GB RAM made it an easy choice for those who are looking for a top of the line handset.
Unfortunately, the source didn’t mention where it got the sales information besides citing “analyst”. Nevertheless, from what we saw from the Xperia Z, it’s got the tools to pull this kind of numbers. You can check out our full review of the Sony Xperia Z here.
