Verus Shows Off Cases for Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Case makers usually have access to the design of upcoming devices ahead of time which gives them leeway to come up with cases for it. Case in point is Verus, a smartphone case maker headquartered in Korea, which recently posted a handful of press renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 wearing different Verus cases.

The set of pictures that Verus has uploaded shed some light on some of the minor changes on the SGN5’s design. From its previous location just below the rear camera, the LED flash unit is now moved to the right side of the rear snapper.

The placement of the two sensors above the display was also altered on the latest model, moving it to the left side of the handset’s earpiece. This adjustment allowed Samsung to move the front-facing camera closer to the center of the smartphone, on the right side of the earpiece, instead of its original location near the top-right corner of the phablet.

Lastly the audio jack at the top of the Galaxy Note 5 was moved to the spot where the IR blaster was previously situated.

So far the rumor mill has churned out bit of information about the upcoming handset’s specifications. These include USB Type-C, 4GB of RAM and a massive yet non-removable battery pack.

If past releases are anything to go by, Samsung is slated to unveil the fifth iteration of the Galaxy Note on September, in time for this year’s IFA in Berlin. However, there have been speculations that the Galaxy Note 5 may be unveiled next month along with the rumored Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+.

iPhone 6S: What we know so far…

This year, we’re already expecting Apple to announce the iPhone 6S and perhaps the iPhone 6S Plus later this year. We collated all the speculations recently reported to paint a better picture of Apple’s upcoming iPhone.

1) The iPhone 6S will more or less be using the same design and measurements as the old iPhone 6. 9to5mac.com has some photos of what could be the insides of the iPhone 6S.

This means most cases and accessories of the iPhone 6 will probably be compatible with the iPhone 6S. This was true with the iPhone 5 and the 5S so we don’t suspect the trend to change.

2) Apple will likely introduce their new A( processor and then increase the amount of RAM to 2GB.

3) As Apple has introduced Force Touch in the Macbook and Macbook Pro, there is a high likelihood that Apple will also implement a similar execution of the Force Touch on the iPhone 6S.

4) a 12-megapixel rear camera that can do 4K video recording. The current iPhone 6 Plus can already do 240fps at 720p so that should be inherited by the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.

5) Storage options will still be in the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants.

6) Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus sometime in September so hold off any new purchase of the current iPhone. MicGadget places the exact date on September 18.
