ASUS launches E1Z portable projector for Android

It seems like ASUS is on a roll with the introduction of their new products over at Computex as they once again lifted the veil of another gadget. The E1Z is a portable projector that connects to your Android phones and tablets using just a microUSB cable.

This Digital Light Processing (DLP) projector is small enough that it could fit inside the pocket so you could always bring it along. Although we’ve already seen other gizmos that play video content from smartphones and tablets, what makes the E1z special is that it is the first pocket projector to require only a microUSB cable to connect to Android devices — unlike the HDMI cable usually needed to playback videos.

The pico projector has a 6,000mAh battery that’s rechargeable and it could also act as a power bank and charge your handsets. Image-wise it’s reported to have 100 percent NTSC color gamut and full RGB color spectrum support so in theory, images should be vibrant and detailed.

No official pricing has been revealed, but Engadget reports that a representative from the company mentioned it to be around $200.

ASUS launches ZenPad S tablets

In addition to the Zenfone Selfie, ASUS also introduces to the market its ZenPad S that packs an Intel Atom CPU, 4GB RAM, and has an optional stylus for added productivity.

The ZenPad 8.0 has a couple of accessories to go along with it. These include the Zen Clutch, Zen Case, and Audio Cover “for adding 5.1 surround sound”, and a Power Case which extends battery life as much as 15 hours.

If you still want more options, you can also check out its lower 7.0 variant that has 1024 x 600 screen resolution, while the bigger 10.1 model has an optional keyboard to attach if you prefer physical keys.
