Independence Day is just around the corner and Smart is proposing that you celebrate it by signing up to their customizable Freedom Plan. We assume that that’s not how you plan to spend your holiday, but they have some pretty interesting offers that are sure to make you reconsider.

Ok, first things first, the “Follow your Freedom” campaign is only valid on June 12 and will only be implemented in malls listed below:

In addition to the handset sale, Smart is also giving away small tokens if you register to a Flexibundle along with your Freedom plan. This includes gift certificates to Starbucks, movie tickets and MRT tickets. We’re not sure if you get the full suite or you just get to choose one, but it’ll be great if you get all of it. Smart offers free Twitter access

Smart Communications has recently posted that they are offering their subscribers with free access to Twitter until the end of July.

The promo doesn’t require any registration. All the user has to do is enable data on their smartphone and log on to http://www.m.twitter.com using their handset’s native browser.

The service is free of charge as long as users are accessing Twitter through the link stated above using their phone’s browser. This means that additional data charges still apply when subscribers access Twitter through an app or when they click on an outbound link.

70% off on Sony Big Sale Event on May 31 to June 2

After the buy 1, take 1 sale on Sony Alpha dSLR the other week at the DPP anniversary, Sony is again running a big sale event by end of the month at the Trinoma Main Activity Center. All Sony products will go on deals of up to 70% off.

As the posted stated, it’s going to happen on May 31 to June 2, 2013 at the Main Activity Center at the Trinoma. Sony smartphones, HDTVs, cameras, players, laptops and gaming consoles will go on sale with discounts of up to 70%.

Sony SLT-A77 on a Buy 1 Take 1 promo

In line with the 7th anniversary of Digital Photographer Philippines, Sony Philippines is throwing an outrageous one-day only BUY 1, TAKE 1 promo for the Sony SLT-A77 dSLR camera called the Triple 7 Promo. Check out the details below.

The mechanics for this promo is fairly simple; you just need to be at Bonifacio High Street on Saturday, May 4 and register for the event which will start at 9:30am and will end at 9:30pm. Don’t worry the registration is free.

All registrants are entitled to the promo which is basically a BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) affair. You’ll have three options to choose from; Get the SLT-A77 (Body only) for Php49,999, SLT-A77 + 18-55 mm 3.5-5.6 kit lens for Php59,999 or get the SLT-A77 with 16-50mm f/2.8 for Php79,999.

Early adopters will also be rewarded handsomely, as Sony PH is throwing a battery grip (VG-C77AM) and an extra battery (NP-FM500H) worth Php16,200 (combined), at no extra charge for the first 80 customers to avail of the promo. Pretty awesome, right?

Just a reminder though, the promo is only valid on the day stated above and can only be availed on site. As for the payment, it can be done by cash, through credit card (UNIONBANK, Citibank, RCBC, Bankard, Allied Bank, BDO, Standard Chartered, BPI Express Credit, HSBC, Metrobank Card, SB Cards) either straight payment or 6-months 0% interest or cash/straight payment combination.
