Pokkén Tournament: Pokémon meets Tekken

This might not be the Tekken 7 we were waiting for (still hoping for Jollibee’s appearance) but it’s something even more exciting. This is where Pokémon meets Tekken, this is Pokkén!

The Pokémon Company just unveiled a new fighting game to be developed by Bandai Namco’s Tekken Team. The game is titled Pokkén Tournament. Watch the first look video below.

Both Katsuhiro Harada and Masaaki Hishio, producers of Tekken and Soul Calibur, are hands-on with this new project. Information about the game is still a bit scanty. It is set to be released in 2015 at Japanese arcades first. No words if it is coming to game consoles or other countries too.

We hope to have it here in PH. Any guess who will be the star of the game? Also, will the attacks and special powers differ from the Pokémon series?
