Offered with in-app purchases, NBA 2K16 is reported to have new additions that were not present in previous mobile versions of the game  — this includes a full MyCAREER, Blacktop, and Season modes. According to the description of the app, improved graphics and game performance are also to be expected, in addition to new controls and smoother mobile gameplay.

There are also new soundtrack to watch out for from producer and rapper DJ Khaled, DJ Premier, and DJ Mustard.

Unfortunately, the game isn’t free and is available for Android devices for Php365, while iOS users will have to shell out $7.99. Lastly, be sure to free up some space as it carries a size of 3.13GB in the App Store and 1.9GB over at the Play Store — qualifying for our list of biggest games on Google’s Play Store.

Need for Speed: No Limits now available for pre-registration

Being one of the most popular racing games across different platforms, Electronic Arts is coming out with a new franchise entitled Need for Speed: No Limits — and it’s now up for pre-registration for those who have been waiting for it.

The pre-registration will be over at Google’s Play Store where the game, just like before, will be free for download but will come with selected in-game purchases. Need for Speed: No Limits is expected to have added gameplay modes and about 250 million different customization options which include licensed body kits  from Rocket Bunny, Mad Mike, and Vaughn Gittin Jr.

There are no news on its official release just yet, but until then you can head over to Play Store and pre-register to ensure that you can play the game as soon as it is available.

Messenger from Google hits the Play Store

Google’s own SMS and MMS messaging app named Messenger, not to be confused in Facebook’s Messenger, is now in Play Store for download. It wishes to replace Hangouts’ SMS integration.

Messenger initially shipped with devices sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box like the Nexus 6. It is a standalone app for SMS and MMS, no more faulty Hangouts integration. Although the SMS feature from Hangouts is still onboard.

Features include as stated in its Play Store page:

Faster sharing: Select or take pictures and videos directly from the app and share easily. You can even send audio messages to your contacts.
Easy search: Search through contacts and conversation threads to find exactly what you are looking for.
Purposeful design: New, fluid, material design that is intuitive and delightful.
More control: Ability to block SMS senders. No interruptions when you don’t want them!
More features: audio messages, emoji support , colored text threads, message archiving and more.

Head on to the Play Store and download the app for Android running Jelly Bean 4.1, and above. Download is only for devices with cellular networks, WiFi only devices (like my Nexus 7 2013 WiFi only) are not supported.

The pricing remains the same with the 16GB and 32GB variants at $349 and $399 respectively. This bright red Nexus 5 still packs a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch full HD screen, 8MP & 1.3MP cameras, and a 2300mAh battery. It comes with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

It is already on sale on Google Play Store in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Spain, Australia, India, Japan and Korea. A wider European rollout is expected soon.
