Staying true to their words, Phottix has released a Nikon version of the Strato TTL Flash Trigger two months after its long-delayed debut.
The Nikon version of the said trigger has all the bells and whistles of its Canon counterpart which includes support for wireless TTL, High-Speed Sync (HSS) and Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC) just to mention a few.
Sadly, all the limitations that come with the Strato TTL Flash Trigger are also present in this model. Some of the more pressing drawbacks include the lack of pass-through hot shoe on the transmitter and the trigger’s inability to adjust the external flash’s power, ratio and zoom.
Still, if you can live with the aforementioned limitations, the Phottix Strato TTL Flash Trigger should be a good starting point for beginners who are just getting the hang of working with off-camera flashes.
