Yes, PepsiCo is releasing their own smartphone under their own brand name. As confirmed by the company to Reuters, the device and its accessories is coming to China.
To named as Pepsi P1, it will have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. A 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera are onboard for imaging, while a 3,000mAh battery powers everything.
There’s a fingerprint reader on the back and it will run Android 5.1 Lollipop. All these mid-range specifications are put together in a slim 7.62mm metal body and is rumored to be on sale for CNY 1,299 (roughly Php 9,500).
For now, all we can do is wait until October 20th for the launch of Pepsi P1. We wonder if Pepsiman, the Temple Run ancestor, is there to present us the product.
