As Miss Universe 2012 unfolds in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday morning (Manila time), we will be batting for the Philippines’ own bet Janine Marie Tugonon who is emerging to be a heavy favorite amid all the lovely contestants from all over the world and getting noticed for her own brand of cobra walk :)

Aside from Tugonon, here’s our bets among those who will most likely make it to the finals/semifinals: Miss Croatia Elizabeta Burg, Miss USA Olivia Culpo, Miss Puerto Rico Bodine Koehler and Miss Venezuela Irene Sofia Esser Quintero.

The 23-year old Tugonon hails from Bataan Province and is a cum laude graduate in pharmacy from the University of Santo Tomas. She stands 5 feet 7 inches.

She placed first runner up to Shamcey Supsup in the 2011 Bb. Pilipinas. The following year, she tried to vie again for the crown and succeeded with her answer to the question: “Many women nowadays forego a happy family life for a successful career. How do you feel about this?”

Tugonon’s reply : “I believe that women have the right to choose between what they want. But for me, you’ll have to go for what God has called you to do, whatever it is, between the two. You must do what your purpose is in this world. Just have a child-like faith and mature obedience, and everything will go smooth.”

Now at least we know she won’t be fumbling if she’s lucky enough to land in the Q & A portion of Miss U :)

Greenwich Party Size Pizza for Xmas

It wasn’t even end of November yet and our favorite people from Greenwich hosted a Christmas party at Makati Shang-ri La. I went to the event because of these pretty celebrities (accent on Anne Curtis because I watched her latest movies … in real life, she was so warm & friendly!)

After going kilig over him in The Mistress, I was secretly hoping John Lloyd Cruz would also be there but I guess he was busy attending to Angelica :) In this poster, the Greenwich Barkada look so happy.

Ever dread Christmas parties & Noche Buena because it makes you go gaga over the food you’re going to serve? Greenwich is offering a 15-inch Party Pizza with 16 square cut slices that is perfect for those get togethers.

The bonus is that this pizza is overloaded. It’s generously topped with 13 premium toppings to make for a filling treat in every bite.My kids love pizza and as sure as the sun rises, they will devour this in one go!

Team O: what a year!

Finally, they’re in one roof. After being apprised of their exciting activities by Bridges PR, we were really excited to meet the affable members of Oishi’s Team O together. In this photo: (from left) Tim Yap, RockEd’s Gang Badoy, Slater Young, comedian Ramon Bautista and Elmo Magalona.

TEAM O

The event where we met them also served as Team O’s advanced Christmas party (so lucky of me to win an iPod Touch in the raffle, eh heh).My blogger-friends and I have more photos with them after the jump:

Me with Tim Yap.It was a memorable year for Tim because he and fellow Team O member Elmo Magalona rode a chopper and showered the students of Marcelo H. Del Pilar High School in Bulacan with thousands of Oishi snacks.

Okay now, here are some highlights of Team O in 2012.

Last August 31, funny man Ramon Bautista headed the oblation run which took place at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. What made it all fun was that the runners had snacks attached to their bodies that the students could grab.

On September 26, a flash mob took everyone by surprise at the Glorietta food court with no less than popular OPM band Sandwich performing. In the middle of it all was Gang Badoy who preached the gospel of anti-bullying. ” What we need now is an O Wow! Life – where we treat each other with respect,” she said.

And last November 16, a commotion ensued at the Philippine Women’s University and Emilio Aguinaldo College. The studes thought it was just an ordinary day, with Smart C+ bottles being distributed in this photo booth. It turned out Slater Young was inside the booth, even disguised as a photographer.

We just can’t have enough of them Oishi snacks and we can’t wait for more Team O surprises next year. Who knows, a lot more personalities might be added to the Team O roster. Bring it on!
