The Android-powered gaming console, OUYA, may not be receiving much response in the market but that doesn’t stop it from having a new coating just in time for the coming Christmas season.
The Limited Edition OUYA comes in an all-white casing including the controller. The refresh is more of a cosmetic upgrade because under the hood, not much has changed except for the 16GB internal storage, an upgrade from the 8GB of the previous version. It also has expandable storage via USB.
The older console will also have a software update to bring in the features of the newest OUYA like USB storage and more. The old yet still capable Tegra 3 and a gigabyte of RAM powers the OUYA with WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Ethernet port, and Bluetooth. Video output is done via the HDMI-out with 1080p support.
It will have limited availability in North America with a price tag of $129 vs the $99 (8GB version) compact Android gaming console.
