OPPO launched earlier today the Joy 3 Android smartphone which features a 4.5-inch display, 8 megapixel camera, and powered by a MediaTek quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, and Android KitKat. Check out our first impressions of the OPPO Joy 3 below.
The Joy 3 is the latest smartphone that OPPO has released after the launch of the R1x, Neo 5 and Joy Plus last month. It’s a fairly small device with a simple design.
Found on the front is the 4.5-inch IPS display with 854 x 480 resolution or equal to a pixel density of 217ppi. Colors are not that punchy but has decent viewing angles. Located above the display are the earpiece, light sensor, and 2 megapixel camera. Down below are three capacitive buttons for navigation.
On the right is the power / lock button, while on the left is the volume rocker. Both buttons are plastic with chrome finish. Right up top are is the headset jack, while down at the bottom are the microUSB port and microphone. The device is surrounded by a silver band to add a premium look.
Flip the device on its back and you will find the 8 megapixel camera, LED flash, OPPO branding, and the speaker. The removable backplate has two kinds of finish – glossy for the white model, and matte for the gray.
On hand, the Joy 3 is easy to grip due to its small size. It’s a bit chunky at almost 9mm but has a comfortable heft at 135g.
The OPPO Joy 3 is now available for Php6,490.
