NVIDIA has introduces the new SHIELD, the world’s first Android TV console that can deliver 4K content and powered by the company’s recently launched Tegra X1 processor.
The NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV Console can play 4K video content and works with NVIDIA GRID – a gaming service that streams popular PC games to the SHIELD. Think of it as the Netflix for games that can play at up to 1080p resolution at 60fps.
More than 50 Android titles optimized for SHIELD will be available for download at launch including AAA titles like Crysis 3, Doom 3®: BFG Edition, Borderlands: TPS, Batman: Arkham Origins, GRID 2 and Metro: Last Light Redux.
