Days leading to this launch, the Japanese camera maker has released a string of short teasers on YouTube, showcasing their new creation little by little. The hype got a little out of control as there were a few unexpected leaks which showcased the Nikon Df in full glory, as well as its SRP, just hours before the big reveal.

Anyway here’s a quick look at the camera’s specs sheet:

Unfortunately, the new Nikon Df disappointed some gearheads expecting a more compact full-frame camera that will go toe-to-toe with the fairly new Sony A7 (and A7R). Another letdown is its rather steep price tag which is pegged at USD2749 for the body-only option; a thousand dollar more expensive than Sony’s full-frame mirrorless camera.
