We’ve seen the Php4,999 MyPhone Rio that sports decent specs at an affordable asking price. Today, the company announces its little brother — the MyPhone Rio Lite. It’s packed with lighter specs, but it still got the same quad-core processor at its core.
Here are the key specs of MyPhone Rio Lite taken from their Facebook page:
4.7-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display
1.3GHz quad-core processor
512 RAM
4GB storage (expandable)
5MP rear, 2MP front cameras
Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
According to MyPhone, the Rio Lite is capable of saving apps directly to an SD card just like its sibling. In comparison, the Rio has a bigger 5-inch display, has twice the RAM at 1GB, and sports a higher 8MP rear camera than the Rio Lite. It’s still good to see its processor didn’t change as it is one of the selling point of the Rio in the first place.
The Rio Lite comes at a cheaper price of Php3,999 — that’s Php1,000 less than the Rio. So for those who feel like they just need a basic and a really affordable quad-core smartphone, this lighter version could very well fit in your to-consider list.
