HTC Vive VR headset brings Virtual Reality to your homes

Along with the One M9 and the Grip, Taiwanese tech company HTC also partnered with Valve to create the Vive VR headset, touting a new virutal reality experience.

Touted as the most immersive experience of any VR package, the Vive comes with a Full Room Scale 360 Degree Solution with Tracked Controllers that lets you you get up, walk around and explore your virtual space, inspect objects from every angle and truly interact with your surroundings.

It even features high-quality graphics, 90-frames-per-second video and touted to have incredible audio fidelity. It also has its own wireless VR controllers, coming in pairs, that are simple and intuitive to use and can be used for a wide range of VR experiences.

The Vive Developer Kit, now in Beta, has some pretty cool game developers on board, including Vertigo Games, Bossa, Barry–Fireproof, Dovetail Games, Wemo Labs, Google, Steel Wool Games and Owlchemy.

Keen to get your hands on this one? The HTC Vive Developer Edition will be launched to content and game creators by Spring, and the consumer edition will be available by the end of 2015.

HTC Grip might be your next fitness tracker

Also announced during the MWC, HTC teamed up with Under Armour, an American Sports clothing and accessories company, as it unveiled its water-resistant fitness tracker called the Grip.

Aimed for serious athletes and fitness buffs, the HTC Grip is a fitness tracker designed to comfortably support even the most extreme training regimes. Built with five precision sensors onboard, the Grip also has a multi-sport mode that allows you to track different types of activities. It also has an auto sleep detection that helps record the total amount of time spent asleep.

A 1.8-inch PMOLED display is also present to help you track your statistics and remotely control your music. The HTC Grip is touted to last for up to 2.5 days on a single charge, and can be connected to any Android or iOS smartphone. It is also water-resistant, rated at IP57, and is immersible in up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.

The HTC Grip will be available in Deep Teal/Lime color at select retailers in North America beginning Q2. Price has no been disclosed, and we’ll update once we get more info.

LG announces four mid-range smartphones w/ Lollipop

LG Electronics has just announced four new mid-range smartphones that feature quad-core CPUs, LTE connectivity, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box – the Magna, Spirit, Leon, and Joy.

The mentioned smartphones will be available in both LTE and 3G variants. The LTE models will feature metallic back covers while the 3G models will have patterned plastic back covers. Some of the specs will also vary depending on market.

LG announces the all-metal LG Watch Urbane

LG Electronics has just announced their latest luxury Android Wear device that features an all-metal design, cicrular display, water resistant body, and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU – the LG Watch Urbane.

The LG Watch Urbane sports a classic timepiece design with a stainless steel body in polished silver and gold finish. It has a natural leather strap that can also be replaced with any 22mm wide band to suit the wearer’s preference.
