Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14 lands on Villman for Php35K

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14 Haswell-powered Windows 8 Ultrabook was just announced a couple of weeks ago but is now available for purchase on Villman for almost Php35k.

To give you a recap, the Flex is similar to the functions of the Lenovo Yoga as the display can bend almost all the way back up to 300 degrees as opposed to the Yoga’s 360 degrees.

Lenovo announces Flex 14 and Flex 15 Ultrabooks

Lenovo has announced their new set of touch-enabled Windows 8-powered Ultrabooks with bendable displays, the Flex 14 and the Flex 15.

The Lenovo Flex is similar to the functions of the Lenovo Yoga as it can bend the display all the way back. Well, almost. That is because the Flex can only turn its display up to a maximum of 300 degrees as opposed to the Yoga’s 360.

The Flex 14 sports a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 788. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-4200U CPU, Nvidia GeForce GT 740M GPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 500GB HDD. The Flex 15 on the other hand is a 15-incher and carries similar specs but is equipped with a larger keyboard with a number pad.

So why opt for this instead of the Yoga? By letting go of that extra 60 degrees and notebook-to-tablet feature, you’ll get a more affordable price tag of SGD999 (Singapore Dollar) or around Php35,000. Compare that to the Php61,000 SRP of the Yoga 13 which was launched last year or the Php45,000 Yoga 11S we reviewed a couple of months back.

The Lenovo Flex 14 will be available in Singapore on September 5, followed by the rest of the Asian market by end of September. As for the Flex 15, pricing and availability is yet to be announced.
