Kodak unveils Instamatic 5, powered by Android

Kodak promised that it will reveal its newest device at CES this year, and they didnt fail: Along with the Bullitt Group, they created the Android-powered, camera-centric Instamatic 5.

Aimed for the photography-loving consumers who appreciate the Kodak brand and heritage, the Instamatic 5 is powered by Android 4.4 KitKat which will be upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop in the future.

While it will have Google Play Store, it will have a dedicated app store for hand-picked apps, and a 13-megapixel camera with unique imaging software that lets users quickly edit photographs and a tap away to either display them on their device, send to their social media networks, or directly print using a customized app to home printers.

The Kodak Instamatic 5 will be available in black and white colors and will be available globally, starting in Europe next month, then in the US for $249 or roughly Php11,200.
