Philippine Airlines today announced the launching of new flights to China.
Its newest destination on March 29 is Jinjiang, a city located in Fujian province. The city, known for its foreign-owned factories in the clothing and footwear industry, has seen the rise of migrant workers in recent years.
PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Jaime J. Bautista said, “A large number of Chinese – Filipinos trace their roots to the city of Jinjiang. In response to the clamor for links to and from the Chinese city, the flag carrier is launching the new route.”
“We hope to bring PAL’s unique Filipino style of warm, friendly, caring and hospitable service to our passengers on the new route,” he added.
Jinjiang brings to seven the total number of destinations in China, which includes Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai and Xiamen.
The new service (PR 356) departs Manila Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:00AM and arrives Jinjiang at 1:25PM (local time). Its return flight (PR357) departs Jinjiang on the same days at 2:25PM (local time) and arrives Manila at 4:55PM.
