iPhone 6 now available at Villman

Tech store giant Villman joins gray market vendors as it announced the availability of the iPhone 6 at their stores starting today.

As announced on their facebook page, the the gold variant of the Apple product now retails at their shops for Php 59,999 (16GB), 63,999 (64GB), and 69,999 (128GB).

Villman now joins Lazada, Kim Store, Widget City, and DBGadgets as the first shops to sell iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the country. Here is an updated list of all the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus price listings:

Each year, the first release of any new iPhone will drive the gray market prices of the new models up to twice or thrice the retail price. This is primarily due to supply and demand principles.

We montiored at least 4 online stores that sell gray market units of the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus — Lazada, Kim Store, Widget City and DB Gadgets.

We plotted them down here to show the current prices that they are being offered as of today.

Historically, the Apple iPhone has the highest gray market prices. The gold iPhone 5S was selling for double the price last year at Php65k and the iPhone 4 was selling for Php92k when it first came out years ago.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is currently going on sale in some countries outside the Philippines but Lazada PH is already selling it starting at around Php64K up to almost Php100K.

  • The iPhone 6 Plus has a larger 5.5-inch display that has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 HD.
  • The design comes in at only 7.1mm.
  • iOS 8 on the iPhone 6 Plus supports landscape view.
  • The new A8 CPU promises to deliver 25% faster processing and 50% better graphics.
  • Camera sits in at 8 megapixels with a new sensor, 1.5µ pixels, ƒ/2.2, Focus Pixels, Optical Image Stabilization and a lot more to improve image quality
  • Slo-mo video now up to super slow 240fps
  • 128GB version
