Huawei Outs Honor 7i, Swiveling Camera In Tow

The concept of having one rotating camera on a smartphone is nothing new in the business, but Huawei has tried a different approach on their latest mid-range smartphone – the Huawei Honor 7i.

Instead of the whole top part rotating, like the one on the OPPO N1, only the actual 13-megapixel camera unit and its accompanying dual-tone LED flash swivel on the Honor 7i, allowing users to take selfies using the same rear shooter.

Its rotating camera is not only thing that’s unique about the new Honor 7i, the placement of its fingerprint scanner is also quite a headscratcher. Rather than placing it at the bottom or at the back (in the case of the Ascend Mate7), Huawei decided to relocate it at the left flank of the mid-range handset.
