Family man wins an All-New Honda Mobilio

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) concluded its Honda Mobilio 7 Smiles raffle promo and awarded an All-New Honda Mobilio to 32-year old Jose Antonio Goncero, Jr. from Fairview, Quezon City whose name was picked out from thirty thousand raffle entries from April 18 to May 2, 2015.

Goncero, a father of two, has been dreaming with his wife about a new family car to replace their 18-year old sedan. And to make the dream a step closer to reality, Goncero researched on new cars and product reviews to find out which car would be fit for their family of 4 and an occasional 6 or 7 when their parents pay them a visit. Originally, he considered to get an SUV which he thought was perfect for the family. But according to Goncero, car ownership does not end with the purchase and insisted it was only the beginning. And through his search for maintenance costs, he found out that an SUV might not be the vehicle for him yet and concluded that subcompact multi-purpose utility vehicles may be the best options to replace their sedan with the additional versatility, functionality and space.

(I saw my friends’ posts about the Mobilio and Honda promo on my Facebook news feed, but never really took a look at it. I thought you will need to buy a car to enter and get a chance to win the raffle.)

But on May 2 at 10:00 am, Goncero randomly checked his Facebook account and saw a post from Top Gear Philippines which prompted him to join the raffle instantly, “Iba eh, yung words na, now na sa post yung talaga nag-catch sakin to click the link and read about it,” he recalled. (When Top Gear Philippines shared the article on Facebook it felt very different and the word “now” on their post caught my attention to read about the promo.)

As stated in the mechanics, he tuned in to GMA News TV and patiently waited for Turbo Zone to air and watched Honda’s segment. “Nung napanood ko, lalo ako na-enganyo sumali sa promo. Saktong sakto rin kasi sakin ‘yung Mobilio,” Goncero shared. (After watching the show, I was more encouraged to join. The Mobilio is perfect for me.) Goncero tried his fortune, entered the raffle via the online registration and luckily won the All-New Mobilio.

No other than HCPI’s President and General Manager, Toshio Kuwahara, personally gave the keys to Goncero with his family, “We are happy that we are able to fulfil Mr. Goncero’s dream of owning a new family car that would take them to different places together even with additional members of the family. We hope that the All-New Mobilio will not only bring more smiles but also memories that will last forever.”
