Corning intros Vibrant Corning Gorilla Glass

Corning, the company behind the Gorilla Glass protection on mobile devices, has recently introduced a new product called Vibrant Corning Gorilla Glass for decorative purposes.

Vibrant Corning Gorilla Glass lets device manufacturers to do more in terms of product design by allowing them to add multi-color, high resolution, photo-quality images to the cover glass solution.

“Using Corning’s proprietary process, ink and equipment, Corning prints a colorful, customized design for smartphones, tablets or notebooks on Corning Gorilla Glass, including gradient colors and logos, photo-quality images and multi-color decorations.”

In other words, this will be used for customized decoration and commercial branding. Soon you will see smartphones or tablets with their logos or other design details printed on the Gorilla Glass itself instead of relying on adhesives and other screen printing technologies.
