We’ve just received a tip that the entry-level GoPro Hero and the Hero4 series have officially arrived in the country. How much would it cost? Find out after the break.

Now the cheapest of the new GoPro offerings, the entry-level Hero will retail in stores officially at Php7,990. Meanwhile, the Hero4 Black and Silver will be sold in stores for Php 25,990 and Php20,990 respectively.

According to the tip we have obtained, deliveries of the said action cameras have started since yesterday. We can expect that the sale of these devices would begin anytime soon. We’ll update this post with new info whenever it comes available.

GoPro Set to Release a Cheaper Action Cam

Hot off the heels of the specs leak of the coming GoPro Hero4, PetaPixel reports that the company is due to launch a “cheaper” toned down action camera called HERO 2014.

GoPro HERO (2014) specs:

5MP ultra-wide angle camera
1080p video capture at 30fps
720p at 60fps
Burst Photo, 5MP stills at 5fps
0.5 second Time Lapse
Supports 32GB Micro-SD card
Waterproof up to 40 meters
Auto Low Light

As you can see on its specs sheet above, GoPro has omitted a lot of features on the rumored HERO 2014. For one, users are only limited to two resolutions and frame rates (1080p @ 30fps & 720p @60fps) on this model. On top of that, the upcoming action cam lacks HDMI out, as well as wireless connectivity such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Some of the other things that were not listed on its specs sheet that you may be interested to know is that the camera and its waterproof case are inseparable, resulting to incompatibility with some accessories.

The price and availability of the GoPro HERO 2014 has not been revealed yet at the time of writing, but it’s expected to be unveiled alongside the HERO4 in the early part of October.
