FOTON Thunder: The Challenge is on!

Aimed to showcase the powerful and reliable Cummins engine of the FOTON Thunder 4×4 Pick-up, FOTON Philippines staged its first ever Thunder 4×4 Outdoor Action Event at the Parking 4, NE Pacific Mall, Cabanatuan City.

The FOTON Thunder is a pick-up equipped with a Euro 4-compliant 2.8 liter ISF CRDi turbo diesel Cummins engine mated with a 5-speed manual transmission from GETRAG. With these parts, Durability will come with the name of Thunder. The Thunder is a vehicle that gives high level protection for its passengers safety rated 4-star by ANCAP and Euro NCAP. Equipped with front crumple zones, Dual front-airbags and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution.

During the event, the FOTON Thunder 4×4 tackled a track composed of slopes and hills of different heights and angles to demonstrate Thunder’s power and traction. Other obstacles proved the Thunder’s flexibility and maneuverability in various types of terrain of rocks, mud, and water with its meticulously engineered suspension.

The Thunder 4×4 Outdoor Action Event in Nueva Ecija is just the beginning and FOTON will continue to bring the Thunder to other parts of the country and raise the challenge to every Filipino.

Foton San Pablo is 2014 Dealer of the year

FOTON Philippines (United Asia Automotive Group Inc.) recently recognized its top-performing dealers of 2014. It was a night to give tribute to the FOTON dealers around the Philippines. The event awarded individuals and dealers in the field of sales, after-sales, customer satisfaction, and overall dealer operations.

The highlights of the night include, FOTON San Pablo winning the highly coveted Dealer of the year award; together with Best in Light duty trucks retail, Best in Passenger Vehicle Wholesale, Best in Passenger vehicle retail. The Pride of the South, FOTON GenSan bagged most of the special group awards for Visayas and Mindanao which included Parts Team of the year, Service Team of the year, Best in Passenger Vehicle Wholesale and Best in Passenger Vehicle Retail. For the service side of the business, FOTON Pampanga showed its prowess as it received its award as 2014 Skills Olympics Champion and then it continued to win Best in Customer Satisfaction for After Sales and Service Team of the year. FOTON Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija which opened its doors last year won as Rookie of the year. FOTON Philippines believes that this event will inspire dealerships to efficiently perform and to support the FOTON brand as the new assembly plant in Clark, Pampanga will start its operations this year. These awards are a bare testament of relentless efforts to empower FOTON’s growth.

Foton Tornadoes, The Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix’s Newest Women’s Team

FOTON Philippines continues to support Philippine Sports through its participation in the Philippine SuperLiga Grand Prix. Now on its 2nd year, this League features the best volleyball players in the country and is a venue for former collegiate players to continue their volleyball career.

This year, FOTON Philippines will field its women’s volleyball team – The FOTON Tornadoes. This rookie team is composed of: Team coach-Vilet Ponce De Leon and her assitant coaches, Ronald Dulay and Ian Fernandez. The players include Rubie De Leon- former NU Lady Bulldog and 2013 V-League Finals MVP, Kim Mendez, Patty Orendain, Kara Acevedo, Jill Gustilo, Ivy Remulla, Cindy Velasquez, Dona Mae Factor, Bea Tan, Karla Bello, Bang Pantaleon, and imports Elena and Irina Tarasova. Dzi Gervacio, the Lady Eagle known for her “killer jump serve” is also part of the FOTON Tornadoes team. She came in to replace Joey Torrijos who has to sit out the season due to an injury.

The team is named after FOTON’s best-selling Light Duty Truck- the FOTON Tornado. The FOTON Tornado is highly customizable and is available in 4-wheeler and 6-wheeler variants.
