Have you been to the Mom’s Shack Burgers in Bacolod City?

It all started out as an afternoon weekend snack for the family of HS school mate, Owen Bayog. But their burger is too good ot to be shared to others. Soon enough they grilled burgers for friends during special occasions. But after a few more convincing from friends, they finally decided to open the Mom’s Shack Burger House. And just as what they say… The rest is history.

Flashback, Bacolod is one lucky city to enjoy locally made honest to goodness burgers. During my youngers years, we would normally go to the downtown area for our burger fix at Popeye’s.  Any Bcolod of my age,could still vividly recall this food joint before.

Foodtrip: Pasig City

I never knew that Pasig is one vibrant City worth doing a food trip. The city is a treasure trove of interesting foodie finds I never knew it existed in the city. Oh, and while I was working on this article,  stumbled upon this George Bernard Shaw quote, “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.” 

Oh well, it could also be the reason why I am love foods a lot! And I never get bored exploring new foodie spots!

PHILTOA Bicol Day 3: Around Legazpi, Daraga and Camalig

Its the third day of our Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) Media Familiarization Trip. And we are supposed to explore the awesomeness of Albay!

We started the day early with buffet breakfast at the Oriental Hotel. The Oriental Legazpi is the latest luxury hotel to open its doors in Legazpi Cty Albay. The hotel is located on top of the hill overlooking the vast cityscape of Legazpi. It also has a breathtaking view of the Myon Volcano especially in the morning.

Around Bicol in 30 Plates (part 3)

It was the last full day of our Around Bicol in 30 Pates adventure. We Woke up a little bit early for our breakfast. But d’yo know what greeted us? The magnificent Mayon Volcano showing up in her full glory. It was so beautiful.

After taking photos of the volcano, we had our yummy breakfast of hash brown juicy franks sunny side up and potato salad on the side. Sarap!

Around Bicol in 30 Plates (part 2)

And the adventure continues. I woke up a little bit early and left Avenue Hotel. I took a pedicab that brought me to one of Bicol’s most popular religious structure: The Basilica Minore del Nuestra Señora del Peñafrancia or simply called as the Basilica.

This is where the miraculous image of of the Virgin Mary draped in a cloth full of gold floss can be found. I attended the 6AM mass. It was in Bikolano so I cant realy comprehend much of the sermon.
