YugaTech plays Flappy Bird, how to get high scores

From its rise to its seeming end, Flappy Bird has taken a lot of attention and interest from people – including us. In schools, workplaces and even in malls, you can find people engaging in the game. We took a little time and effort to show you how we play it and what other people do to get high scores so read on and watch the video we prepared down below.

FLAPPY BIRD

  1. Don’t install the game, unless you want to try it, fail and/or lose your mind trying so hard.
  2. Uninstall the game if you need to move on and do something productive.
  3. Don’t touch that birdy. It’s already flying straight anyway; tapping it to start the game will just make life for it a lot harder.
  4. Smash your phone (aka permanent uninstall, not recommeneded).
  5. Play on bigger screens – I don’t, but a lot of our high-scoring friends do. It might help.
  6. Practice.
  7. Fly lower to have allowance to catch up.
  8. Have fun (or at least try to) – one of my friends always sings the phrase “Flap My Bird” in some random tune and he gets up to 50.

One of my friends also has her Flappy Bird game in slow motion (I’m assuming it’s because of slow internals).

What tips would you give to get higher scores? Feel free to leave a comment down below. For more of Flappy Bird coverage, click through our links here:

Flappy Bird will soon say goodbye?

In a quick turn of events, the ever popular Flappy Bird will soon bid farewell according to its creator, Dong Nguyen.

As what Dong Nguyen tweeted, “I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.” It was posted earlier this morning at 3:02 AM.

After that tweet, he came with more tweets regarding the reason behind his decision and some short clarifications.

If he will really remove the game by 1 AM (Manila time) from the App Store and Play Store, he might have to let go of his $50,000 daily ad revenue. Well, Flappy Bird is not the only game Dong Nguyen is working on. If you will check his App Store account, there are a couple of other 8-bit games under him.

Also, if this is really happening, Windows Phone users will not get to the chance to play the app on their device, contradicting earlier reports that Nguyen will push the game into that platform.

What do you guys think? Do we need to say goodbye to Flappy Bird soon? Or is it just a marketing gimmick to have more users download and play the game? Share your thoughts below.

Squishy Bird: The Solution To Your Flappy Bird Stress

If you haven’t heard of it or played it yet, Flappy Birds is a game for both Android and iOS that is insanely hard and has driven people crazy over the past few days. If you have played it however, you’re probably so pissed now because that stupid bird keeps on hitting the pipes and that you can’t even get a medal. Too stressed? Play Squishy Bird.

SQUISHY BIRD

Squishy Bird isn’t a downloadable app, you can immediately play it on the internet with your browser. Basically, the goal of the game is to not let any bird pass through the pipes – you have to squish the blood out of them with a click. If one passes, you lose. It’s a lot easier than the Flappy Bird game too, and squishing that no good bird already feels just as good as getting a high score.

Ready to splat some birds? You can check it out here.
