FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, recently received a Plaque of Recognition from Junior Achievement Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) during the 44th Grand JAPI Awards ceremony on April 9. FedEx was recognized for its sponsorship of the FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC), the youth education program jointly conducted by the two organizations annually.
The Grand JAPI Awards Night is an annual event held at the end of each school year to recognize JAPI member schools and partners for their outstanding performance and contributions.
An advocate of education programs for the youth, FedEx entered into a sponsorship agreement with Junior Achievement Worldwide™ in 2007. Since then, FedEx has supported the JA ITC program that aims to educate students in Asia Pacific countries about how entrepreneurship can improve the quality of their lives and the communities they live in. After implementing the joint FedEx/JA program in 11 Asian markets, the program was expanded in 2009 to include the Philippines.
