Pintados Kasadyaan 2013 videos

It’s almost a week now since Leyte staged its annual Pintados kasadyaan Festival 2013. And yeah, we still can’t get enough of seeing the colors and spectacle of the fiesta.

I can still hear the drumbeats from the ack of my mind, the infectious chanting of Ahhhhh-Buyog! And the dizzying colors of the props of Alang alang Leyte.

It was one good show we all enjoyed, except for that one uninvited guest, Typhoon Gorio, who almost stole the show.

Wellness Weekend at the Paru Parong Bukid Nature conservation Center

Paru Parong Bukid is a Filipino Term for Mountain butterfly. As the name implies Paru Parong Bukid is a Butterfly Garden slash nature park and more. It is a wellness facility too!

Mervin and I arrived at the DZ Romualdez airport at around 10 AM via AirPhil Express. Our close friend Ludette Ruiz of Leyte Gulf Travel and Tours picked us up at the airport. From there we then drove towards the town of Babatngon, Leyte where Paru Parong Bukid Wellness Center is located.

Review: GoHotels PH Tacloban

It’s clean, decent, and reasonably priced. That’s what GoHotels PH is all about. A few weeks ago, Mervin and I was in Tacloban City to cover the Christmas Festival in Palo.

I have tried the other branches of GoHotels, most recently was the GoHotelsPH Bacolod City. So more or less, I know what to expect here in their Tacloban City property.

Palo Leyte Christmas Festival 2012

All roads led to Palo Leyte last December 14 as the town celebrates the annual Christmas Festival. The opening ceremonies was led by no less than the Mayor herself, Madam Matin Petilla. Also present during the event was the new Leyte Governor Mimieta Bagulaya. Former Governor and now Department of Energy Secretary Jerico “Icot” Petilla also graced the event.
