YIFY/YTS permanently shuts down

YTSFor more than a week, the popular movie torrent site stopped working. And they have not uploaded new releases even in BitTorrent. This caused confusion and doubts if the team has finally ended their game.

According to Torrent Freak, they have confirmed that YIFY / YTS have shutdown permanently. Their entire operation is now over and they will not release a new title anymore.

YIFY or recently known as YTS, has shared more than 6,000 releases of quality film titles since 2010. Their uploads range from classics to the latest 3D blockbusters.

The main reason behind the shutdown is still not disclosed.

Windows 10 now available in PH as free upgrade

Today marks the availability of the much-awaited Windows 10 in the Philippines as well as its Windows Store and Windows Software Development Kit to download new apps.

Some of the key features of Windows 10 include:

  • Most secure Windows yet
  • Enhanced Windows Defender and SmartScreen against viruses, malware, and phishing
  • Windows Hello for password-free way of logging in
  • Free updates
  • Voice, pen, and gesture inputs
  • Cortana as digital assistant
  • Microsoft Edge for easy browsing
  • Continuum for app optimization
  • Office Mobile apps

Being one of the 190 countries that will receive this update, eligible devices that run Windows 7 and 8.1 can get it on their PCs and tablets through the free upgrade offer. New Windows 8.1 devices will also easily upgrade to Windows 10. In addition, they mentioned that even retail stores would be glad to help with upgrading the new devices.

Lastly, the new Windows Store and Windows Software Development Kit kicks off today as well –it lets users download new software and apps that the company says will further make the experience more enjoyable.

Microsoft‘s Hyperlapse video app is now out of its beta state and is now available for download to Android phones as a full software.

About two months ago, Windows introduced its video-smoothing software for creating time lapse on Windows phones and even PCs. During that time, its Android counterpart was still limited to the beta version. Now, the company makes available a full-functioning app ready to be downloaded on your devices.

Again, this isn’t to be confused with Hyperlapse for Instagram users on iOS, although they both produce the same effect. To know more about the app, check out how the algorithm does its magic.
