Three years after the release of the now ageing EOS 1100D, Canon has added a new budget DSLR camera in to their entry-level portfolio, the Canon EOS 1200D / Rebel T5.
The Japanese firm has only made some minor tweaks on the 1200D’s body like the addition of a rubberized thumbrest on the back. They’ve also changed the arrangement of the buttons which follows the same arrangement found on the EOS 700D.
Specs-wise though, the Rebel T5 doesn’t have a lot new things to offer to the table apart from a more respectable 3-inch display with twice as many pixels compared to its predecessor and a slightly revamped 18MP sensor.
Other than that, EOS 1200D is pretty much the same as its predecessor; cheap, compact and lightweight.
Canon EOS 1200D specs:
18MP CMOS sensor
